The Chosen

The Chosen first began as a crowdfunded project and has become a global phenomenon, watched by more than 600 million people and translated into over 50 languages.
Each Friday we'll gather for tea and coffee at 10.45am and begin the episode at 11.00am sharp and follow it with a gentle, reflective Examen, followed by group conversation.

New Lay Bereavement Ministers

Three members of our Parish Faith Community were commissioned by Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ as Lay Bereavement Ministers in the Mater Dei Chapel in Belfast on Monday 22nd June. Bernie McCoy, Maureen Sheridan and Fran Clements were part of a group of twenty three people commissioned across the Diocese of Down and Connor. Bishop Alan acknowledged their calling to serve as Parish Bereavement Ministers within their community asking God to give them strength to carry out their roles with generosity. Congratulations to Bernie, Maureen and Fran.
Three more members of our Parish Faith Community will be commissioned this Autumn.

Catholic Youth Minister Training

Youth Link in partnership with the Diocese of Down and Connor have secured funding from the Education Authority to deliver Catholic Youth Ministry training and the accredited OCNNI Level 2 in Youth Work Practice qualification to parish volunteers new and experienced in youth ministry.

Accord Needs You!

ACCORD Catholic Marriage Care Service CLG/NI is currently recruiting volunteers to train as marriage preparation programme facilitators to support couples preparing for the Sacrement of Marriage. The marriage preparation programmes are fun and interactive and very popular with couples.

Grásta​ is a voluntary group of Married Couples based in Ireland, who for over 25 years have been facilitating Pre-Marriage Courses for couples​ getting married in the Catholic Church.​
We also organise courses for Married Couples and Families.
We work in partnership with other lay people, clergy and the team at the beautiful De La Salle Pastoral Centre in Co. Laois to offer enriching residential courses in a peaceful and welcoming environment

STOP AND THINK ABOUT THIS is a supportive programme created for young women (18-30yrs) to explore what healthy and unhealthy relationships look like and to better understand the choices they make.

Running from October to March at Accidental Theatre, each monthly session will give participants the tools and space to:

Explore red flags, danger, safety, and attraction patterns

Reflect through guided journaling and peer discussion

Hear from expert agencies working to support and protect women

Share stories, ask questions, and learn in a safe, inclusive space
