A collection in support of migrant people will take place over the weekend of 21st and 22nd March.  Funds raised through this collection will be used to support the work of the Council for Migrants, Refugees and Justice and Peace, and other projects that provide pastoral outreach to marginalised and vulnerable communities within Ireland and among Irish people abroad.

ACCORD Catholic Marriage Care Service CLG/NI is currently recruiting volunteers to train as marriage preparation programme facilitators to support couples preparing for the Sacrement of Marriage. The marriage preparation programmes are fun and interactive and very popular with couples.

Prayer

  • Make a morning offering

  • Complete a nightly examination

  • Go to daily Mass in addition to Sundays where possible (if not possible, make a visit to the Blessed Sacrament)

  • At least 15 minutes of mental prayer each day

  • Say the Holy Rosary

  • Offer your work/study to God

  • Spiritual Reading - The Way (follow plan)

  • New Testament - St John's Gospel (follow plan)

Asceticism

  • Get up at a fixed time each day

  • Go to sleep at a fixed time each day

  • Get 8 hours of sleep a night

  • Exercise x2 a week

  • No unnecessary screen time (no social media)

  • No snacking or desserts - just 3 meals a day

  • Fast once a week (a day of your choosing)

*On Sundays, you can relax one of the ascetical practices.

Grásta​ is a voluntary group of Married Couples based in Ireland, who for over 25 years have been facilitating Pre-Marriage Courses for couples​ getting married in the Catholic Church.​

 

We also organise courses for Married Couples and Families.

 

We work in partnership with other lay people, clergy and the team at the beautiful De La Salle Pastoral Centre in Co. Laois to offer enriching residential courses in a peaceful and welcoming environment

STOP AND THINK ABOUT THIS is a supportive programme created for young women (18-30yrs) to explore what healthy and unhealthy relationships look like and to better understand the choices they make.

Running from October to March at Accidental Theatre, each monthly session will give participants the tools and space to:

  • Explore red flags, danger, safety, and attraction patterns

  • Reflect through guided journaling and peer discussion

  • Hear from expert agencies working to support and protect women

  • Share stories, ask questions, and learn in a safe, inclusive space

 

Whether you're currently in a relationship, recovering from one, or thinking about your future, this programme is for you.
